Hello,
New poster here, great site..

I have a 1995 Eclipse RS that I swapped a 420a into from a 1997 GS.
The 1997 was a total.. so I swapped all the sensor plugs and used the 1995 ECM.
My issue is the FPR on the 1995 was on fuel rail, the 1997 was on the tank from what I read. The 1997 car body is history and I swapped engine a few months after it was scrappped.
The 1995 has a return line off the fuel rail- FPR is on rail, the 1997 FPR is on the tank? From reading forum
My question is on hot restart the engine will not start unless I relive some PSI from fuel rail scrader valve.
What is simple and economic in installing a regulator on the 1995 that will work with the 1997 engine, should I outsource a 1995 fuel rail and just swap it out, how could I tell if the 1997 rail is dampened as I read in a couple threads.

Thanks in Advance for any Help... Dennis

Just find the right rail for your application. Should be real easy to find one at a salvage yard, there are quite a few different cars that use the 420a

Aftermarket is definitely how you wanna go, no cheap ones either. Fuelab FPR has not given any problems.

Not on a stock 420a just find the correct 95 fuel rail for your car. An aftermarket FPR will also fail visual inspection / emissions in a lot of states so there is no reason to run one unless your fuel needs require it. It will also cost a lot more.

If you only knew what you were actually talking about that might help. Please explain why you would suggest to run an afpr on a stock 420a running stock fuel pressure?

OP listen to Bryan that's exactly what is needed for your situation.
