19" wheels, to lower or not to lower?

The problem Jtoby has with this thread is understandable. This is the suspension performance and tuning forum. He wouldn't go into the non-performance forum and start talking crap about 19's. If all the "19 inch rims" and "3 inch drop threads" were all posted here they would overwhelm the real suspension performance related questions. Don't post in the wrong forum and all will be good.

And you wonder why the word "rice" was banned.

When someone who knows handling looks at a 2G with 19s they often laugh. And if there happens to be another 2G nearby that has 245/40/17s on it or maybe even 245/45/16s (see below), such that the rice-mobile can be directly compared with a real car, the laughter can cause real pain.

I know handling, and I think Signal's car is damn sexy. Sure, it doesn't handle as good as other 2gs with smaller wheels, but I doubt that was the purpose; same goes for this thread.

To each his own, jtm. I personally think that the right 19" wheels look good on a 2gb Eclipse. I also would have went with a different wheels choice on your car than you did; and this isn't a stamp of disapproval, so don't let it get to your head.

Next time, try to be a little more understanding, respect the "wiseman" title and keep the red-ass to yourself.
