18x7.5 wheels offset +23

I got rpf1 18x7.5 offset+48.
I did evolution brembo brake swap and the wheels didn't clear the front callipers so I add 25mm wheel spacer.My question is: What is the disadvantage of running low offset?

It puts a lot of extra stress on the wheel bearings which causes them to wear out quickly.
