ok so i installed the wastegate actuator today and now i do not build any boost. I have the arm connected to the flapper and the flapper is positioned towards the passenger side i could take the arm off again and push it over towards the drivers side. does this mean that the flapper is open right now?

also i installed the 650s today and now (perfect timing) im having all kinds of problems with my pocketlogger. wont stay connected blah blah blah. it will connect for a about 2 seconds at 2s/sec then drop the conection then couple seconds later do the same thing. I don't have a wideband so i was going off of the fuel trims but now i can't see them. so right nowi have it set to -16% for 1k-3k rpms. and the idle is alright. seems like it is running really hot tho. for the 2 secs my logger would read my coolant was about 195. i tried giving it more fuel but it would just run like crap. anyone around everett with a logger? want to come help haha.

The arm towards the passenger side is flapper closed, the arm extended towards driver side is open. You cant build boost in neutral, you have to have a load on the engine. You are gonna really #### up your car if you dont know what you are doing with your tuning. I cant give you any advice on it except for set your boost at about 10lbs and start logging from there upping the boost a little at a time. Youre gonna have to find the link for all the initial settings.

i have the links for the initial settings and the equation. all thats fine i have the car running well at idle haha. but now that my logger is taking a crap i can't do anything because i can't see what my fuel trims are.

alright so i drove the car alittle bit and it does not build any boost. I don't know why i didn't change anything except putting on the actuator and my fuel injectors. And i really need my logger to start working. anyone have a good idea on how to get a logger to have a better connection? mine keeps cutting out.

I second the tuning notion. Personally I would not drive the car that much until you get your logger working. ALSO... if that actuator is truly a 17psi actuator, thats the lowest boost your car can run, and at the state it's in I would be VERY careful.

As far as the actuator hook up. I can't remember how the wastegate arm is laid out on a T28 but I know on my stock 14b that it rotates counter clock wise to open. So turning it clockwise until it stops would be closed.

i am running version 2 i have been talking to the tech support at pocketlogger and he had me reset the palm and do the byte timing test again took about half hour with over a hundred errors to finally be able to finish the test. but it still does the same thing. it will hold a connection in the byte timing test screen but when i go to data log it will disconnect then reconnect over and over again. the tech guy told me to uninstall the program and reinstall so i am going to try that now and see how it works.

ok so i just got done uninstalling pocketlogger from my palm then reinstalling it. Now i went to do the byte timing test and everything is at 0 and im getting 19samples/sec and i have no more connection issues but my fuel trims do not move no matter what my stft stays at 4 and my ltft stays at 12 no matter what rpm or what the correction is on the safc. so im kinda confused.

so im thinking that i should just get a dsmchiped ecu from dsmchips.com to get a baseline tune so that my timing will be a lot better and then do some fine tuning with the safc. Sound like a good idea?
