16g install, Zero oil pressure?

Started today off with a simple 16 install because the 14b blew, ( Compresser wheel nut came off, chewed the fins up) Now after changing the turbo, oil, filter, cleaned all intercooler piping, TB. I now have seemed to lost oil pressure acording to the factory guage. the car had oil pressure driving it in the garage for the swap, the conector is on the sender and seems to be snug, no oil pressure light. Any helpful hints on how to solve my problem would be great. Also let the car run for a bit, it seems to act like it has pressure, but afraid to to drive it anywhere becuase the guage just reads zero.
This is not my car, im posting for a buddy. Car is - a 91 Eagle talon TSi AWD, 90k miles, s16g, tubular mani, 3in turbo back. besides that car is bone stock un molested.

Edit: Strike that.

Just sounds like a case of old car wire/sensor. If there was no oil pressure you would hear the lifters slapping away and the turbo would have started to eat it's bearings.

Possibly swap out the sensor with another or hook up a mechanical oil pressure gauge to one of the spots on the OFH to see what it reads.

If you want to be really safe about it, change the oil and see if there is any metal in it. Also, you'll want to cut open the oil filter and check that for shavings too. If you don't see anything in either of them, you have oil pressure. It's just a matter of getting a working stock sensor/wires.

Could still be from the 14b blowing. But now for sure get a mechanical gauge and crank the car only (no starting) and verify that you are getting oil pressure.

You did prime the turbo before putting it on right?
