Anyone ever used this for a 16g install? Would it work? I know I'd still need a J-pipe.

Turbo Install Kit 4G63T DSM TD05H 14B 16G Eclipse Eagle | eBay

Will it work? yes it will fit and work

Is it a quality piece? I dont think so. I wouldn't trust a critical part of my turbo system to replicas.

Although I have never used it, kinugawa parts have been review here, and the results are mostly negative.

I would contact one of our supporting vendors for the parts you need, STM, MAPerformance, Extremepsi, the list goes on:

If you are in need of a thrifty way, there are plenty of 2g 26g install guide on here that will tell you what parts you can and cant reuse and how to DIY with the parts you have.

My thoughts exactly. It seems a bit too perfect for $50. I wouldn't trust my turbo system to something like that. I went with the install kit from extreme psi. Has everything you need, and its from a reputable vendor. Yea it cost me 200, but since its my first swap I didn't trust myself building my own kit. I highly recommend it.

Man, if they required posts to be an original idea or experience based facts, very few members would have more than one post on here.

You guys act like assembling couple cast fittings and hoses is rocket science

I use that exact drain pipe on my turbo and it works fine. I like this design better than some "reputable" vendors because its is much easier to trim this to fit so there are no kinks or bad angles in it. How a drain pipe actually fits is much more important than which vendor bought all the pieces from a foreign supplier and assembled it

BTW, I had a $80 dollar, less than a year old feed line from MAP break on me at a swivel joint. Could have easily lost a turbo or even engine to a failure like that. This happened about 3 months ago.

BTW not a single member who has posted is even using the non oem turbo for their car according to their profiles. Are you guys even running aftermarket oil lines?

You should do your research, FP racing is a reputable vendor who had NPT threaded fittings for our turbo.

I am not worried about the drain fitting, I worry about the type of hose they are using. Is it compatible with oil and high heat? Does it swell, will the line kink? Will those SS lines leak? Is the flare fitting inside seated correctly with the AN line? I have a fitting right here thats an -4AN from ebay, that is not flared at the 37* angle.

I am sorry to hear about your MAP oil feed break, but I bet they have a warranty that last longer or even exists compared to ebay sellers. Its not just about the parts, its the company, they have great customer service. Give them a call if you haven't ans see what they say, maybe they will replace it. I dont know many ebay vendors with numbers I can call

So if we are running an OEM turbo, then we aren't running after market lines? I don't have time to list ever stupid little mod in my profile like "SS feed line" who cares how I feed my turbo as long as I do it right and it works.

we can argue all day about this stuff, but there are already countless threads that discuss quality control and ebay

Regarding the oil return setup, I would never use rubber hose in a high temperature oil application because the rubber will always literally cook over a relatively short period of time, and all it takes at that point is for one object to hit the hose and it will break. Ive seen some people even use silicone hose for this- silicone is great for high temp applications, but will not withstand exposure to any petroleum products for long. Why not just buy a real oem oil return for a Mitsu turbo and be done with it? I say OEM because Ive seen the China copy metal returns and many dont even fit to begin with. Besides, you could go to some of our supporting vendors like DSMGRAVEYARD or MITSUBISHIGRAVEYARD and get the water and oil lines in used but good condition for an excellent price, and you 2G guys who are installing 14B, 16G etc only have to drill out the bolt holes on the turbo side of the 2G oil drain pipe to make it fit the 14B, 16G anyway:sneaky:

I just want to get my e316g on my 2g and don't want to spend $200+ on lines. I had bought this companys oil kit for a old 420A-T build and the lines seemed really nice and not cheaply made. I just wanted to make sure this will be all I need to get my 16G on my 2g.

I have eyes on the install kit from extreme psi...Expensive,but everything you need and like mentions by others its a reputable vendor. Check it out!

I will get my 3inch exhaust from eBay tho.

It really is a great kit. All high quality stuff. Plus being from a reputable vendor, you know you'll get the quality customer service and replacements on those parts with warranty.

Check out "japanimportshop", a great ebay vendor for exhausts

i got that exact kit, the only thing that i used was the coolant lines and gaskets they were good, but everything else is crap, the oil feed fitting isnt threaded for metric so you will mess up your ofh housing threads, just get one from extreme psi for oil feed from the head, and get a legit return pipe, otherwise everying seemed pretty nice but kinda useless, let me know if you need a jpipe i have a couple
