this is my budget. ive read the upgrade paths but want more imput just let me know and im looking for 300-350hp.my motors a 99 7 bolt with 20k original miles and tranny to go with it so its healthy LOL.so just hit me up asap thanks guys...

Well the stock internals should be good to up to that number from everything I read so I would suggest arp head studs and a new head gasket those are cheap if you do the work yourself then turn up the boost front mount intercooler and bigger exhaust. I dont think all that will get you to 350hp. Also something specific I would suggest is getting some sort of engine management like ECMLINK it will set you back like 500 but its well worth it also go speed density you can get plug and play stuff from ecmtuning and its not super expensive.

Honestly if you want to go cheaper you could tune using your stock ECU, it should be flashable What you Need. Your not going to make the power you want without a bigger turbo. So you will at least need a bigger turbo EVO 3 16g should work, and all the supporting mods. You can probably find an intake, exhaust, BOV, Injectors, and a pump in the classifieds for a decent price. The turbo you can buy used, get a deal on a VRSF intercooler.

Honestly you don't need ECMlink you should have a flashable ecu. So you would need to purchase the necessary things for that. I would also get intake, exhaust, and possibly injectors from the classifieds. You can get a VRSF fmic for cheap. With bigger injectors though you would need a bigger pump and an AFPR.

Yea I only suggested the emclink because its easy and there is so much help on the forums and the stock fuel maps are not nearly optimal from what I hear.

SAFC can get you there, but you are going to have to watch your timing. For the amount of power you want you should be fine though. You will still need a bigger pump like a 190 and bigger injectors, I would go as big as your safc can tune for and that is about 650s.

Safc will get you there but after 1 week it got old and really restrictive, imo tuning and maintanace is horsepower.I would definetly get dsmlink 16g and you already have 272 cams so just get a 255 fuel pump 750cc injectors or 1000cc if you get link and you should be set for the 300whp+ range. You can only run 650cc injectors on safc.

if i get dsmlink is it just plug in play and what do i have to do with my ecu? who does it and price LOL thanks guys:thumb:

ecmlink.com just send your ecu they chip it also should get them to check the caps on your ecu, and you get the cable and download the software to your laptop of the website.:thumb:

i dont know about the ecu LOL its obd1 still but everything else under the hood is 1st gen but i have no clue hahahaha

Well check the ecu.If it's black, it's a 98-99 ecu.And you can run the ecu flash.

Otherwise, yes send the ecu in for caps replaced, and socketed. Then get link.

There is a decent amount of people selling link in the classifieds.Ecu in center console of car behind the stereo.

alright i thought so when i get my taxes back im going to ship out my ecu and buy link used and a evo 16g what should i do about fuel system everyone sais wb255. i want to pust 20+psi safely.i just need more input LOL yous guys are awesome!!!!

Just get a walbro 255 with aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and just get 1000cc injectors sence your gettings link, but you will be fine with like 750cc but just a simple peice of mind to save money and don't have to worry about ugrading if just get the 1000cc injectors.

whats a good priced fpr? i will order a vsrf fmic and should i get a gm maf thing LOL or just the kit?a wideband, dsmlink, 1000cc injectors,16g or bigger???

That fmic is good just get a bov to go with it.As for the gm maf don't get that you will be fine with the 2g maf or can setup speed density with link but also I don't know do you have a boost gauge to go with that wideband?

How has no one mentioned getting a UEGO?

That and Link are the two first mods you should make. And for your goals.. an EvoIX FP (rewired) would suffice and no AFPR needed.

I also agree on the ID1000's for injectors. I would also consider a decent intercooler core, and a water/meth kit.

So lets see where that puts us on your budget:

In order of purchase:

UEGO - ~$200
ECMLink V3 Lite - ~425
Walbro 255 HP or Evo IX pump - ~$80-150
ID1000's - ~$250-350

So about $1125 so far.

You could land just about dead nuts on $1500 with a new FMIC or Meth kit. Or possibly both (new or used) depending on what deals you find and if you grabbed anything used but in good shape.

For 350awhp, I would mod in that order. You should consider a 3G MAS or SD if you are going with ECMLink. I've done this more than a few times.. LOL

You will not be disappointed.

Here is some math for you.

Ecmlink $545
1000cc injectors $200 used $300 new
Aftermarket fuel pressure regualator $200
Walbro 255 $90
VRSF FMIC $280
BOV $30-$100
16G turbo anywhere from $150-$350 depending on what model 16g you get.
AEM wideband $170-$200
With 1000cc injectors you can run race gas or E85 if want over 20psi+ you can make 330-350whp with your cams I hope bout even still you will be able to be in the 300hp range.I hope that gives you an idea what to exspect every car is a little different tho.
HAHA landspeed beat me to the punchish, he said something about getting a wideband already.:p also there are limits to v3 lite tho depending how far he wants to take his car just saying the extra $100 is worth it, but if need to budget then v3 is good.
