Vancouver,
i did some searching around and got my hands on a jpipe of a g1. i just bought a 16g and i am putting it into the my g2. now question is. i got the jpipe and it looks small. smaller than the jpipes that come in the install kits.... will the be ok ? i have read people using that g1 jpipe but is it sufficient or am i bottlenecking ?

It's a little bottlenecking, but you get the nipple on the top of the j-pipe to connect to your boost controller. Some aftermarket pipes don't have that, so another boost source has to be found. Use it for now, upgrade when you can afford it.

If you're still using the SMIC then it will work fine unitl you upgrade your IC. Most kits nowadays come with a j pipe anyway. You can also use your stock LICP with the 1G outlet pipe, just flip it around.

It will work fine until you can buy a front mount. Thats what i used with my 16g, i had greddy lower pipping just flipped it upside down like said above.the air flow will be restricted a little, but unless your worrying about one one hundredth of a second on your time slip i would not worry to much.

you do not get use the j pipe for a boost source. that nipple needs to be capped. if you have no boost controller then the nipple on the j pipe acts as the nipple on the compressour housing.

also 1g j-pipe will work witout a problem. you just need to flip the stock ic pipe and get them to fit right. it is a tight but it works no problem. and of course it will be restrictive compared to other pipes, but the gain is not noticeable.

It would work but I would say it is a definate bottleneck. Get a J-pipe from someone like Dejon for under a hundred bucks

He needs a boost source of SOME sort to open the wastegate. The 16g and 14b don't have nipples on the compressor housing. So the nipple on the J-pipe has to be used, either for the stock BCS or MBC.
