whats up with that reaction time shit? i was reading that you have to have a reaction time of over .5 seconds or its a fault or something like that?

i beleive it is the closer to .500 the better your reaction time, but when you get a .300 means you default and went before the green light came down and graced your presence ;)

Yep a .500 is a perfect light, anything less is a redlight, which means you lose UNLESS the other driver redlights as well. Then its still a race. If you are a beginner then dont worry about reaction times, these are things to perfect after you learn how to race down the strip quickly. But if you want a good light, then I drop the clutch out at the exact time the last light hits. This way once you car starts moving that green light is lit. With this method my best RT is .54. Unless you are actually racing then pay more attention to your shifts rather than the light. Also perfect your launch first as well. Once you have these down pat then try and jump the light. Perfect RT are nearly impossible with a manual, if you get in the .5 range then consider your method solid.
