So I have an scm6152 turbo that is internally gated. I plan on keeping it internally gated, but I wanted to get an o2 dump instead of having it recirculating the exhaust gases back in. I already found the kit I need, but I just want to make sure I don’t have to retune the car cause there is almost no tuners where I live. I plan on eventually learning to tune the car myself tho

Assuming no leaks, the ratio of air to fuel in the exhaust will be the same at the back of the exhaust valves, exhaust manifold, turbine housing, o2 housing, downpipe, etc. The wastegate just diverts the exhaust around the turbo's turbine wheel. If you decide to dump that exhaust instead of recirc it into the downpipe, the ratio of air to fuel is still the same to the sensor, there would just be less volume of it.

I'm honestly not sure on the behaviour/importance of the rear O2 sensor in the eyes of the ECU, but it is definitely just along for the ride exactly like the front sensor when you're in a situation of the wastegate opening as you're in openloop (the ECU ignoring it).

tl;dr: No.
