01-05 Dodge stratus Chrysler sebring 4G64, came with forged rods?

I'm just going to post this here, not 100% if this is the right area or not but, I cant seem to find anything online about the 4g64 from the 01-05 having forged rods or not. If so could they be used in the 4g63 6bolt and or 7bolt motor.

This is from wikipedia: The version used in the Chrysler Sebring/Stratus coupes produced 152 hp (110 kW) at 5500 rpm with 162 ft·lbf (214 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm. The Chrysler version features fracture-split forged powder metal connecting rods.


So, if they are forged and will work in the 4g63 engine are these any better then the 1g rods?

From wikipedia said they are powered metal rods like the 420a has. So I would say that 6 bolt rods are way stronger.

Yeah, they are using 'forged' very loosely there. What they really mean is that the rods are sintered, which is a process where metal powder is compressed at very high pressures into a shape. But forged sounds cooler for the brochure.
