So I want to tell you about my new and final build. Iv had 4 DSM's and Im finally in a point in my life where I can focus on building a race car and not worry about my daily driver eclipse over heating late at night in the Jack in the box drive through.

So today I picked up a 97 auto GSX, It has 210,000 miles on this GSX and it is COMPLETELY UNMODIFIED. The original components are perfect, the wiring is perfect, there are NO aftermarket mods done to this vehicle. The motor was rebuilt at 190,000 and it still runs great. I have yet to see a DSM over 200k that still drives this flawlessly!

I know a LOT of the original DSM guys on this site were able to start their builds from stock but I have never had that luxury and every DSM I'v ever owned has been previously modified (and usually butchered). So Im very happy to be able to get an old GSX in great shape and be able to breathe some new life into this beast.

My plan is to rebuild this from the ground up and my goal for this car is to beat a 6.5 second 1/8th of a mile.

Im might really regret this later but Im also going to note the running cost of this build and essentially the upgrade path that Im choosing to take.

Hoping to start the install for these parts next week.

I towed it home just to be safe. Also I don't think Iv ever brought an eclipse home that didn't arrive on a flat bed. Its sort of tradition at this point.
