Color code in a printout I have with the car is PJH

*I didn't do a thing to the car yet, it came with the bumper, wing removed, painted upper sections, and 300zx wheels...

Post pics of your cars if you have one of these, I've been following https://www.instagram.com/tropical_green_talon/ for inspiration, he did an amazing job restoring one. The color is really cool in person, it glows at night.

This car has a January 10th 1994 production date, one of the first few hundred '95's made. It just has an Apexi Dunk exhaust, intake, probably ebay turbo, and a refreshed top end. I have to work out an idle surge and a bunch of cosmetic things, but it was a California car its entire life so there's no rust which is hard to find nowadays. It also has all vin stickers except for the front bumper.

How many are out there?
Over the years, I only ever saw a handul for sale and most were FWD / rollers. My estimate was that there may not be more than 10-12 AWD 5spds. I saw an old post from a member stating that Chrysler told him 100 Tropical Limes were made, so my estimate could be close with a small % being the top trim.

What should I do with this thing?! I'm debating on how far to take it, I might just do some maintenance & get the car presentable for now with a '97 front bumper, wing, black upper parts + mirrors...

Such a cool color. I'd get it up to date on maintenance and drive it! Whatever you do, getting it back on the road is a win:hellyeah:

Hope to get my hands on a weird 95-96 color car at some point. Celtic blue would be sweet. Bonus points for a blue or brown interior

Thanks man! Keep looking, those celtics are super rare too. This is definitely driver condition, it'll be a nice restoration project.

That color has never been my favorite, but it stands out. And I know some people love it. Very cool to see one getting a new owner who will take care of it. Be sure to create a vehicle profile for it to document everything you do to it:
Thanks, Chris, once I get started, I'll create a profile. The color is a wacky one, I'll definitely make it unique.

Seeing this thread and thinking of my old talon definitely stirred up some old memories. I got mine stock from the original owner back in -03/04 with 70k on the odometer. I learned everything i know now with that talon.

Thats awesome, what a shot here! I bet it wss hard to find one of these even back then.

Where did the name Tropical Lime come from? I've looked before and couldn't find anything where Chrysler/Mitsubishi called it that
This is from the 1995 catalog. The "greenish yellow metallic" was the paint code PJH.

I assume that's a talon brochure. I've got a 95 eclipse brochure floating around somewhere.
Yes this is the talon brochure.
