Right, and if you see the same issues with the engine and injectors out of the equation, it tells you potentially where to look or not look.

Okay so it seems to be hooked to the boost controller and logging, and the other line leading to the turbo seems to be part of the wastegate or something.Should I T the line leading from the throttle body to the EBC or is there another nipple I...

I think the numbers aren't working out due to your base fuel pressure. Pretty sure the FIC 1200s are only rated 1200 @ 43.5psi.If you want to try out some numbers before you take everything apart: Global fuel: -59.4% Global deadtime: 0On the...

If you look at the first log and masked everything but the MAP sensor and the Fuel Pressure you'll see they don't track very well. The battery voltage looks pretty solid at 13+ volts. You must be registered to see element.

Fuel pumps are known to leak inside the tank. If i recall your 97 has a hose between the outlet of the pump and the fuel hanger? Please fix the fuel line on the regulator before trying to start again. Fire waiting to happen. You also have a...

Okay so by any chance do you guys think the reason I can't find the nipple is because it's already being occupied? Is that blue and black box for ECMLink or maybe the EBC? Is the line going back towards the turbo recirculating the boost??I'm...

I would trace the vac line to the fuel pressure regulator. Something is tee'd off of it. Possible problem. Could we get a whole view of the bay also please? What fuel pump did you install? You mentioned it but its not in your profile. If you have...

Concerning your fuel pressure you must solve this. There is no point in diagnosis if your fuel pressure is 30psi.Youre on the right track with the filter. Fuel pump inside the tank could also be suspect or at least how it is connected to the...

Ill take some pictures in a sec.No the fuel pressure regulator is stock. Whoever owned the car prior added a fuel pressure gauge to the top of the fuel filter.

I posted earlier. Does the car have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? If so did you set it? Please post pics of engine bay. Hate to say this but this is the third time ive asked for pictures. If you want accurate help with diagnosis please...

Steve mentioned this, did you pressurize the manifold (and the FPR) and turn the pump on (like a BLT, but engine is off, fuel pump on)? If you log Fuel Pressure during that test It might at least rule out something.... it should show a nice...

I use a strut kit I bought off ebay around 10-12 years ago. I did have to replace the struts themselves with weaker ones when I bought my CF hood. You must be registered to see element.

That's exactly what I used, too. I had the impression it's a Toyota part, it might be from Mitsubishi, I don't remember but I know I've read on this forum that's the best alternative to the original o-ring.I've tested the pump to about 80psi...
  • barza21 posted the thread 1G 1991 Bouncing Tach in Electrical Tech.
Hello All,It seems like there have been some issues with bouncing tachs over the years, but a lot of them seem to apply to the 1990s models. In my case, I own a 1991 (with ECMLink) and noticed this happening some time ago, but forgot about it...

Your low side should be 40-50lbs depending on temperature outside and the high side should be 225 or 250 or so. Good ballpark numbers. Did you vacuum the system first? It should hold a vacuum of 25-30hg before putting in Refrigerant. I DROVE my...
