here's my car. i plan on keeping the paint. no body kit is in store for the car. i'm updating thewheels to 17" Sport Edition Fox3. just got a new vinyl top also

Thanks for getting rid of those rims What's the story behind the car -- why's it been converted to a 2ga?

its converted to a 2Ga because thats the way the factory made it. It wasnt until 97 that they got the new look.

2Ga - 2G body, first style (95-96) ; smiley bumper
2Gb - 2G body, second style (97-99)

you have the smiley one.

If I were you I would convert it to the 2gb (97-99) style...looks sooo much better in my opinion. And good idea about getting rid of those rims. I would also get clear side markers

pretty cheap on ebay. And personally, I like the oem tails better.

i got the tails because everyone has the altezzas out here. i wanted something to match the paint. i'm getting clear corners next payday, along with projectors.

you said that you just got the top replaced to vinyl? is that better than the factory canvas top? and how much did you pay for it to get replaced? mine is starting to rip everywhere. :thumbdown

i got it installed at a little shop in northeastern ohio. i had a choice between canvas or vinyl, vinyl wascheaper, but no water leaks at all. i can hold a pressure washer 3 inches from the surface and no leaks.

i believe it was 650 installed(for vinyl)
but then again it was a "connection" thing, my grandfather is friends with him

I think he may have meant the side marker, thats orange and you can buy clear ones.

Off topic.....is that the new firestation you're parked in front of. Reason I ask is I used to live in rapid, got stationed in minot, but had to do a short tdy at ellsworth (firefighter training) and they were just breaking ground on it(I saw the plans it looked kind of like a big ass pagoda) I was just noticing base ops in the background
