yet again another problem...need help

hey guys. once again im here for some guidance and help, i did the BCS upgrade and now all of a sudden my car goes into a much higher RPM and it feels like i have no traction. pretty much im peeling out in boost while driving at 40mph....what can cause this to happen ?

Okay, so first, did you correct your excess boost problem? You're not making too much boost are you? No more 20psi? LOL. I would say if you're just making a comfy 14 psi or so, you're fine.:sneaky: You have to consider that you do have a FWD GS-T and traction is still an issue. My uncle's TSi spun the tires when boost was hit almost all the time, or would at least bark them for a second. He had just the stock t-25 too. Get bigger/better tires? But as long as you're not spiking too high and holding consistent boost, I'd say you're fine.

i was taking my girlfriend to school and the thing is i dont hear the tires scream all i see is the rpms go higher. I look outside while im driving and i dont see the tires spin while im in boost..weird.

and yeah thank god no more 20 psi...now its like 14-15

Ooooh, I think I misunderstood you the first time. You're saying that when you boost, you're engine is spiking into higher RPM range like it's going faster, but it's not....Kinda like when you spin the tires your RPMs will jump to X,XXXrpms, but you're standing in the same spot spinning tires?

Is your cluth slipping under boost? If you dump the cluth from a sit-still will the tires spin or will the engine just wine out? I don't recommend doing that 'cause you might eat up your cluth even more if it is wore out. Maybe you need a new one. A video would help, I guess.

And yea, with the BCS mod done, 14 PSI is about what you should be getting. I think 11 or 12 is the norm without the mod done.
 
yea....like im driving normall...then boost...then over boost (14psi) then RPM jumps like if its in Neutral then when i let go of the gas pedal it goes normal...so if i want to go into full boost i have to do it with out putting the pedal to the metal......

does that mean my clutch is slipping because the car is getting faster and its not used to handling more power ?

hey...i took a video..super bad though..you dont hear the car or anything, but you do see the RPM\'s jump up higher towards the end of the video
 
Yea, I would say that your clutch is slipping from what you're saying. If it wasn't, instead of it slipping you'd feel some hellacious pull that drives you into your seat :thumb: and maybe a little tire spin if you're in 1st and 2nd gear would be heard.

But yea, you could probably boost nice and slowly and not have the problem, but if you're boosting hard in the lower gears and it's doing that... you're clutch isn't gonna last much longer. I think I'd avoid the boost all together until I could get that checked out/replaced. Boosting and slipping is just going to kill your clutch quicker and nobody likes a DSM that doesn't move. :p
 
If you plan on building it, yea, I guess I would get a little better than stock clutch, especially since the tranny is out and you'll want something better down the lines? At least, I would definitely get a lighter flywheel. >.< I've been launching the shit out of my car in hopes that my clutch will fail ROFL ROFL just so I can replace it and get a lighter flywheel too. It's fun, but stupid, but It's something I plan to do anyway.
