Is there any reason you went with twin 50's instead of a different turbo? I'm just kinda interested in how you chose to use those turbos out of the millions available.

They are Chinabay-and I have a source to get straight from China pricing now. At 150-200$ retail depending on quantity, you dont want to know what I paid.:|

Do you think it will spool those turbos reasonably with gasses from only two cylinders go to each turbo.

Probably not ROFL . They have .63 ar turbine sides (no choice with China turbos) so I am only hoping it works. If not, its no big deal, I just will rock a GT42 (non BB) like I had on the Colt, and call it a day.

Car ran great-but due to the rain, I didn't go to the shootout. Pics will be up as soon as I find my camera.

I know a lot of people are bashing it for being inefficient, but I think it's still badass. But I do agree with many of the other members who'd like a video of the RX7 4G63 TT in action :thumb:

Second that, I want to see some video.

I have one question though? Why did you set up the manifolds to run 1-4 2-3. I know thats the firing order, but if you were to loose spark, you would loose boost and be left with a 2 cylinder with high boost. Would it have made more sense to go 1-2 3-4. That way even if you lost spark at one point, you would still have pressure from another cylinder. I'm thinking of it as compression with every spark vs compression every other spark.

It's not about spark. If you lose spark, a coil can easily be replaced. The point of separating the cylinders is so you get even pulse distribution to the turbos. 1 and 4 are on opposite strokes same with 2 and 3.

Once I get it all ironed out, there will be a ton, as there was with when my Colt was in action.

As far as inefficiency I would say 15psi by 5000rpm is pretty damn good, especially considering the power potential of the set up (think GT42 flow numbers). It is defiantly good enough to where I may keep it, no go single, and refine the manifold over winter.

If I lost spark in 2 cylinders-I would not stay at WOT and try to complete the pass! As for 1-4/2-3 vs. 1-2/3-4, I have heard arguments for both configurations, and I went with pairing the sister cylinders. All I know is-this configuration WORKS, and works well, so Im not goign to change a thing!:)

One thing I was wondering with the RX7 is why the BOV's are located right after the turbo? Isn't it ideal to have them after the intercooler?

You want them as close to the TB as possible. Where they are right now was-well and afterthought.:coy: I dont have any surge issues thus far though.
