This same intercooler and piping kit was installed on a 1993 Talon TSi AWD I recently purchased. I ditched the whole setup in favor of a Punishment FMIC kit for (2) reasons:

- The ridiculous routing of the piping.
- The knockoff Tial BOV cannot be recirculated.

By the way....the piping is not mild steel nor aluminum- it's stainless steel. <b>CHEAP</b> stainless steel.

and the punishment kit was made in a factory just like the SSAC kit is... They are probably made from the SAME materials.

At least the factory that made the Punishment kit decided to include an intercooler with rear-facing outlets to make installation a breeze.....no need to hack your bumper apart and use a BOV that cannot be recirculated. The short-route <b>beaded aluminum</b> piping that came with my Punishment kit was <i>82" shorter overall </i>than the SSAutoCrap setup I removed.

I would say the the punshment kit has a couple of advantages over the ss kit. I am using the maf and translator so I am going with venting anyway. However, for about 12 to 25 dollars, you can buy a 2.5 pipe complete with virtually any type of welded bov flange you can dream up n ebay or other sites. I don't like to add more couplers to my uicp but with the removable flange on the pipe, you can hot swap any bov you like without having to pay crazy prices or go to your local welding shop and pay for cusom work. As far as the beads on the pipes go, I have heard of different ways to put on beads without costing very much.

probably, I will also look at reversing the driver' side line so that it goes behind the intercooler and radiator instead of in front. If I do, I will post pictures and parts on here so that others can look.
