Would this work: headliner console from tahoe, and pics of my vent bezel

I want to try to mount an upper console from a tahoe, i plan on removingthe ac controls and cutting it to mount my safc and removing the lights and use them for gauge mounts. Im also thinking about using the garage door opener buttons to arm a nitrous set up. (i am a certified car audio installer so the fab work wouldnt be a problem)

You probably could make it work but it will look like $hit IMO. Way to much for something that doesnt even look good. Did you plan on mounting this on the roof or in the dash? Im still a little confused

I have a question for you if you can fab why not fab your own console? The tahoe console will not fit the shape of your head liner. Seems to me (if I had a roof on my car) that I would go get a junk yard head liner and build my own fiber glass console and use the head liner to get the right shape pluss you will get every thing laid out as you want it. Yes I have done some fab work myself.

On the roof above my mirror, like replacing the factory dome lights with it, and ive checked the console i can shave it down to match the roof, and the ac control area is almost perfect for a safc. I have thought of fiber glass but its such a pain, i just spent 3 days making a gauge bezel to replace my center vents

I think you're on to something, besides once modified to fit it most likely will look nothing a Tahoe console. Imo this is a better idea than hacking up a dashboard, one could replace a headliner fairly easily.

I think if i do it right i can get a somewhat oem look out of it, and i figured id go head and show of my center bezel, just in case someone tries to doubt me...and to show off

You're going to need a lot of wire.

Personally I think it is much nicer to route things up through the center console. It isn't like you need to see your SAFC all the time so just pull it out when you need it or fab up a new ashtray/cupholder piece so that you can mold it in just behind the shifter. That is just me though and probably largely because neither of my cars are by any means secure (Jeep with no locks and a soft top convertible...). If they can't see that you have it they probably aren't going to try and steal it.

Im just tossing some ideas around right now, ive also thought about upgrading to a safc 2 and mounting it in the driver side visor. I just thought it world be nice to have it visible, and i could also a gauge on the driver side molded in
