Those that have restalled torque converters please chime in. I am putting a new engine in my car and I was thinking of putting a torque converter in at the same time because soon after the engine is in I will be upgrading my turbo to a t04b(with proper supporting mods). How well does a restalled TC drive on the street? Will I notice any difference between stock and restalled when taking off from a light? I am just worried that it might make it even more sluggish than it already is when not boosting.

I have been daily driving my IPT restalled torque converter; 4000rpm stall speed for about 2 months. I can honestly say I feel NO ill effects compared to my stock converter. Check out IPT's website http://www.importperformancetrans.com/
Register for the forums and ask John, aka Transdude any questions you have about a restalled converter. I have been dealing with John for my trans work for the better part of a year now, and he has always been totally honest with me and very helpful with answering all my questions.

A properly built performance torque converter will act just like stock but with the added benifit of giving you the performance you expect on demand.
