would it be the same as a turbo engine

i was wondering if you take a noneturbo 2.0 4g63 and put turbo pistons crank and take the head and put different valves would it be the same as a turbo engine or is there some other differences between them...

The crank is the same in the N/A and turbo engines.
The head and valves is the same thing but the intake cam if im not mistaken.
The block is the same but without oil squirters in the turbo application.
Rods are the same.

I have to mention that a lot of guys including myself, use N/A blocks without squirters with no problems. Just put in the intake turbo cam into the N/A head, use turbo pistons and call it a day. Good luck.

The oil squirter's are there to cool down the cylinder walls and the pistons for a turbo engine. i do not know if it will hurt running low boost on that motor, but I am sure it will cause excessive wear and tear later on.

As said before, its a matter of preference. I´ve seen high HP guys run without squirters. Boost is not an issue here, as long as you have good oil pressure. If you want a machine shop can install your old squirters in the N/A block.
