would a 2g GST harness work for a 2g GSX radio?

i went to circuit city and i got some kid in training who gave me a 1997 GST wiring harness for my 1997 GSX. i havent taken out my radio yet, but i dont want my car in peices. will a 1997 GST harness work for a 1997 GSX? my friend also has a GS harness for my radio he said he could give to me, would this work? thanks.

yes, it would work....you're going to have to by-pass your factory infinity amp also

Yes, radio wiring is the same across trim levels. Talons didn't get the DIN cable for the remote CD changer. So far, I've found about five different radios used in the 2Gs, both half- and full-DIN. If you're going to a new radio other than factory, you're best-off to re-wire all the speakers.

Especially if the new radio says to connect one side of each speaker to ground since the oem stereo uses differencial signals.

this is sounding like a bigger project than i bargained for.... i just want a radio that works!! . is there any guide to doing this somewhere? i havent found one.
