wot problems

Hey all! I am new to dsm i recently purchased a 90 talon tsi fwd. Did the "free mods" put in new plugs and wires. Gaped to. 28 wires are accel 8mm. Car is flawless and love it. Except at wot i cant get above 5k rpm. Did alot of reserch before posting but havnt found a similar problem. Could it be a boost leak or mabey i need a new coil pack? Thanks....

I suggest you do a Boost Leak Test if you haven't already done so. Even if it isn't the exact cause, it'll still help significantly.

I will boost leak test it tommorow. Could it be an ignition problem more than a leak? Also wen car has ran for an hour or so it smokes bad at idle and taking off. It goes away after a few mins.. strange to me. New valve seals will be going in soon but its weird it does it for a bit then stops...?

I would suggest getting a wideband so you can see what your air fuels are at wot. I would bet you are lean do to a fuel problem
