Worth buying this from craigslist?

Not sure where to put this but I need another opinion. A guy is selling an ACT 2100 clutch, MBI-HDG4, which is new. He's selling it for 60$. Typically how much should these go for? I'm thinking about buying it for 60$ and just selling it on here. Is it worth it?

You want us to tell you what exactly? All I see is two pictures. Not even a good one to show wear & tear on the clutch. Send me your $60, & I'll send you some junk too.

these clutches can get expensive new a whole kit can be $500. but i dont know if its just me but the one in the pic looks used

It looks like a new disc to me. The Pressure Plate looks new as well, even though there's some scuffing around the edge. It looks like he opened it and just threw it in that box with some dirty parts. There's also evidence that it is new because the throwout bearing is still in the bag it comes in.

I'd meet him face-to face. If you're sure this is the clutch to fit what you need, it's definitely worth $60 if still new.

from the wear on the pressure plate it looks like he ordered a new clutch disc and took a pic prior to install. i bet for 60 bucks all you get is the old disc or the new disc.

read about all the issues with the aftermarket throw out bearings before you use one. thats why its prob still in the bag. same with the dowel pins. unless you lose them no need to replace them.

from the condition of the box and the pressure plate i am highly suspect.

especially all the act clutches and pressure plates i have ordered in the last maybe 5 years have come in a box with an open front and a vacuum sealed plastic bubble type packaging not a cardboard box

Looks new. Check it out in person, if its new, definitely buy it. Youre saving hundreds. Its a great deal.... if its new that is

call him up and meet him, worst case u waste a few minutes of your time. if it looks decent buy it and throw it on the shelf for if u ever need a clutch asap then u have a spare to get you by. i always keep a ton of spare parts cause u never know

From the photos it looks to be in decent condition. But I'd request better photos to show more of the usage. But as stated meet up with the seller and check it out in person to be sure.
