Ok - Ive been around here for a while with this problem, my car has a really loud knock after my turbo died and he oil dumped..
at first i thought it was Crankwalk, and a bunch of people here told me it was...but it wouldnt knock, the engine would have seized correct? so that cant be it, so i was looking for a whole new engine the whole time because i thought i crank walked :/
How much would a mech charge me to diagnos an engine knock???

When the car knocked I heard like a weird sound I thought was coming from my drivers side somewhere, i only heard it for a couple seconds and then the car stalled out at 55mph - i put it into neutral and started it back up and the car was knocking (it started right up no pause or anything).
this happened right after I installed my 14b - When i installed the 14b the car had no power - the turbo would spool and the car would feel like it was fixed and normal, but then i realised all the power was the 14b spooling its heart out and the engine was limp....
I couldnt rev past 4Krpm and I almost felt like i would come to a standstill when I tried going up hills at WOT.
some guy at the dealership told me that it was the injectors, so i used some of that injector cleaner stuff in my gas and i thought it fixed it but it didnt.
I also didnt realise it at the time, but after thinking about it, I could NOT hear my exhaust, like usually when i would let off the gas my exhaust was LOUD - it sounded quiet as stock during this whole process before the engine started knocking...
should I try to rebuild or just swap? and if i rebuilt what am i likely looking at?
TY for your time, im sorry to bug you guys about this but im Lego-Style smart, I cant take stuff apart and put it right back together, but I have no idea how the stuff functions.
