hey finally puting my engine together but i came across a problem. i have no idea what order the rings go in. i know how to check the clearence but just need a little help. also im pretty sure the the offset direction puts the numbers on the top of the piston by the exhaust side. dont wanna rush into anything.

6bolt bored .02 over

you all suck. ive read the directions 10 times and they dont help for anything

i knew that but do the 2 oil rings and the weird ring all set in the bottem groove. i just wanna make sure i have everything correct. ide be pretty pissed in i blow up $8000 in parts before i get to track it

and if your looking from the driver side of the car the crank rotates clockwies right?

You're putting your own engine together but you're unsure which way the pistons go, which way the crank spins and which way the rings go? You do realize the rings must be gapped and the block should have been prepped by cylinder and matched with the appropriate piston at that time. You can't just throw whatever piston you want into whatever cylinder you want.... Also, the larger valve reliefs are for the intake side.

Take the pistons to someone that knows how to assemble the rings properly (dealership/machineshop) and then have them install the rings on them for you.
