Hi,

I bought Wiseco Pistons 9:0:1 compression for my 2G 4g63T
Can someone tell me what is the different between the higher and lower compression than stock pistons. And which compression will be better to make a max. 300WHP??

thank you!

dude, if you only wanna make 300hp, you can stick with the stock bottem end. you can safely make 400 hp with the stock bottem end, and a lil over 500hp with really good tuning. and the diffrence between stock compression, and 9:1's?........thats about it, nothing. ive talked with numerouse dsmers, and they all said that they couldnt tell the diffrence between the stock compression, and the 9:1's. you best bet is to do all the supporing mods, and get a nice 50trim, or 20g or somthin. those are 350-400hp turbos, they are stock bottem end friendly, as long as u have good tuning. hope this helped man. :thumb:

Well i have about 500 miles on my motor now and i went with the 9:1's. I have to say that there is a small difference on the lowend, it feels a little more responsive. For a street car and your goals in mine i would definetly go with the 9:1's, and plus if you ever decide to go with a bigger turbo you should be able to spool it up a little quicker.

He's right. I only got 2.5 hard years of driving and 250 passes at the track on mine. :sneaky:

Eventually it poped the HG not really crnakwalk though it was out of spec...

So 400hp on a stock 7-bolt is the recipe for crankwalk, huh? I'd say that's an assumption and should not be taken as fact. We have a few Wisemen that would argue with your statement and they have firsthand experience with running 7-bolts.

This is how misinformation is spread folks.

all you guys were right. i think we should call this the crank walk stereo-type. i also have made over 400hp on my 7 bolt. the only reason i got a 6 bolt is because i got it for free. otherwise id have a 650hp 7bolt.
