Well i'm 18 i will be 19 when the time comes. I think i may sell my xbox 360 just to go to that. Well my girlfriend saw that rule saying no going over 60 and now she wants to go..sorry guys but trust me there will be no shoping trips or bathroom breaks every 5 min..LOL oh man this is gonna be a trip. Also is highline gonna be a car club too? or is that just your guys shop? Cause if i read that right before that you guys want to do auto cross racing i would so be down for that. And the decal with the tach look Sweet!..Also if you guys need car parts i get a deal though napa because of my work. Oh yea i should ase certified in electrical. to help if anyone shorts out along the way. LOL Man i should see if i cloud just take a tow truck from work..

I'll be 18 by that time, so i should be in the clear. This will be an awful lot of driving though. The only thing holding me back is a passenger, i doubt i will have one, which sucks for everything about money. If i do go, i plan on bringing every tool and part i can think of, as long as throwing a spare tire in the back(for any DSM'r to use as long as me), it will be a full size TSI wheel with tire.

Yeah, Highline is going to be a club as well. Highline Motorsports Club or Highline Racing Club. Really however you want to put it.

Dang I wrench on the car for a few days and I miss everything. When is the rally it sounds like fun. Someone let me in on it I missed the whole thing. I will definately go with my AAA card handy

91gsxboosted: here are the details: http://webpages.charter.net/devl1sh/...undTheLake.htm

Andy, your "Built By HM" decals are being cut AS I TYPE THIS! i just don't know when i'll make it to W.R. next though. soon i promise

as far as car clubs go, there is a small one i belong to in WR & StPt right now, Team Dysfunktion, only 4 members right now, but looking to grow this summer. possibly merge with HighLine, we'll have to sit down and talk sometime. So far, Team "D" is now taking over running this rally. Highline is welcome to co-run this event & help in planning

is anyone interested in shirt for this rally? i know myself and a few others are definetely interested.

i'll be posting a new design later this afternoon. Andy, if i email you a pic, will you host it for me? my server is getting full and won't have access to and FTP til late this eve anyways. please PM me your email if this is OK.

thanks all, and check back here for updates on the RRTL and Highline Motorsports information as it will be changing almost daily!

You'll be fine. These cars stock are awesome on the highway. Just pinch your vacuum line that goes to the wastegate with a close hanger or something. Max out that T25. hehe

Yea if it blows up it is still under warrnety and then i get a new turbo.LOL

HAHA on my evo16g install my intake did that for me. fuel cut at 3500, nice.

i fixed it right after i figured out what was goin on. so is the rally going to be an import theme or just any cars?

I'm 19. I would love to go. The money doesnt bother me, and I love driving my car long distances. Just think if my car breaks down in the UP its an expensive ass tow ride home!

I am going to Rapids to work (busy down there) and my brother, jesse and I will talk about our opinoins on emerging with Team Dysfunktion. I'm interested into what they have to say. And by the way devlish, I will be 18 soon. Anxious to slap one of those decals on........have to get my car running first, dont want it not to run and have a sticker on there saying "Built by Highline Motorsports". My DSM Link should be arriving here in the next 10 minutes and then I will head to Rapids.

well, my other post timed out before i submitted, got busy here at work, so here's the condensed version:

Everyone is welcome to take the Rally with us, not just DSMs. however, it looks like that will be the majority. two Team "D" members will be joining us, a Dodge Avenger, and a VW GTi as well.

as for keeping up, everyone will be fine, stock or not, turbo or N/A. i don't plan to get too crazy, and don't expect many others to as well. that's not to say i don't enjoy blind turns @ 85mph on roads i've never been on before fun :shhh: but i think everyone will be able to keep up just fine. some good speeds probably on the main roads, but the backroads should just be some fun twisties at moderate speeds with nice northwoods scenery!

as for the two clubs merging, nothing major. just a joint relationship of the sorts to help promote each other if we're all taking this seriously. nothing special.

the new RRTL 2006 magnet/decal ideas should be out later today. as well as some longsleeved & shortsleeved t-shirt pricing... for those interested.

thanks all for listening.

Thanks for putting that up!

i plan to make the Highline Motorsports logo larger once they get their final layout done & approved.

i put in the pricing request with my guy for shirts and stuff. i'm pricing out everything, short sleeved, long sleeved, and hoodies. pretty much the same logo as above, small on the front, and large on the back. (long sleeved will have writing down the sleeve too probably: "Rally 'Round The Lake 2006" in blue probably)

shirt colors will be white, light grey or medium gray. will post pricing as soon as i hear back, probably before this evening i'm expecting.

also, to you Highline motorports guys, i have some good contacts for shirt, both screen printing and stitching. so check with me when/if your ready to do some shirts. i'll see what i can get for deals for you. also, anyone else needing these services, i still make/sell DSM apparel and graphics. PM me for info on that.

FYI: Well, i got the shirt pricing. a little more than usual, but then again this is for 4-color designs for the large logos! should be a really nice shirt design!! we need AT LEAST 24 orders to make these prices valid, which shouldn't be a problem i don't suspect.

Short Sleeved: $16.50
Large 4color logo on front

Long Sleeved: $26.50
Large 4color logo on back, small 2color logo on front, one sleeve lettered

Hooded sweatshirts: $32.00
Large 4color logo on back, small 2color logo on front, one sleeve lettered

i'm not even going to do anything more with these until probably June once everyone is settled with plans. but i thought i'd put these up here to give you guys an idea for those interested. usually, 1 & 2 color shirts about $3-$5 less each due to less screens being made. also, we're getting two different sized logos (2 extra screens) smaller for the front breast-pocket area, and a large 10" logo for the back! not to mention a full 4-color logo, similar to the one posted above

ok, i'm done ranting about this rally for a while.

new topic?

I am definately down for going on this rally. I'm 19 and go to MSOE in downtown Mil-town. The only thing that will suck for me is that i have to drive an extra couple hours just to get the the starting point in Steven's Point.ROFL I might even have my stage II hahn kit purchased and installed by then. No matter what I am very interested and almost positive that I will be going. Might have the gf but she likes going fast and I'll just bring a bottle and funnel as her bathroom LOL :p . I am definately looking forward to this summer!:thumb:

Ha no g/f here, so nothing to worry about. Hey are we going to have a supply car? Like have someone with a nice reliable honda, and fill the trunk up wiht coolant, oil, misc junk from home depot, and some beer for when our cars break down??

I'm pretty sure we will have a tool box in the back of our cars. A guy (dont remember who on here) posted that he is going to bring a spare tire. And as far the coolant, oil, etc., those dont take up that much space. The only thing I would be worried about is keeping in touch with other people driving. Just in case someone needs gas, or the "g/f" has to go again, or car breaks down, you will need some type of communication device.

Hey, im Tony, Alex's friend.....I dont mean to ruin all your guys fun but according to the 2006 HIN calendar the Chi-Town show is on March 25, 2006. I know this will ruin all of your plans for Rally Round the Lake. I would still be up for RRTL even if HIN isnt in Chi-Town that weekend. Just wanted to let u guys know before we get too carried away with making plans for RRTL.

The link to the HIN calendar: http://www.hotimportnights.com/calendar.php

Sorry for my first post in this threads being bad news......

Tony
