I'm posting it here because its local only, if mods have a problem they can delete it. Much like "Need hood local" and such posts.

If you search through the "Dead End Threads" forum, you'll find that there are plenty of For Sale ads that made their way into the Regional forums. When a mod locks and moves the ad, the usual response is "The regional forums are not the place to sell cars/parts. Please review the rules and comply." That, and the person posting the ad gets temporarily suspended.

Just something for you to think about.

How about import wars on the 29th at Great Lakes Dragaway? From 3-11, I am going to be there but I will not have my car, it will be sitting at AMS waiting to get tuned!! Damn them and the long wait, its going to kill me!!!

:Some people are stopping at Waynes Drive-In in Cedarburg around 7:30 tonight if anyone wants to stop by. I guess the plan is to stay there for a while and then cruise down to hwy 100 later on.

We should arange another small DSM-meet. The original June 17th kinda got rained on so lots of people did not attend. Same with the rain-date DSM-meet that was suppost to follow the weekend after June 17th, that was somewhat rained out too. We need to have a DSM-meet on a nice day where we can have a girls wash the cars for us.

I would like to prupose another DSM-Meet. But instead of just a meet, I would like to set it up so it will be on the same day as the Goldan Sands Auto-X. Last auto-x at goldan sands was a blast. You would not have to run if you dont want to. You can ride along with someone else, or even have a proffesional driver ride with you and give you tips along the way.

What are your thoughts on this???

It'd be very cool! for those of you that have not attended this type of event, it's well worth your time, whether you participate or simply watch/ride along. some of the drivers there that Andy and I know, are certified driving instructors for road courses etc, and are more than happy to give free lessons to those that are driving their own cars. they are also usually more than willing to let you ride along with them, and point out things they are doing and why they are doing them. a LOT can be learned from these people... i've been there myself and know first hand how helpful their information and tips can be!

i think it'd be a great idea to have this in conjunction with a local auto-x.

Where is this meet located? Wisconsin Rapids is a haul away from Milwaukee, at least 4 and a half hours driving fast. Maybee we can set something up closer to eachother like halfway or something. I dont mind at all driving somewhere. My car might though. I really want to meet all of you guys and talk DSM nonsense. Im in for this new meet though for sure.

Yeah, it would be a fun meet to have it along with the local AutoX. Stevens Point would be a good place to meet too, lots of parks by the river, etc... Also, Golden Sands Speedway (where the AutoX will probably be held) is located between Plover & Wi Rapids. 3.5 hrs MAX from Milw, driving normal. i'd say just meet up right there at GSS

I'll try to get some more info on the event and post it up. I will talk to the President of the Fox Valley Sports Car Club who host the auto-x and see when they plan on having an auto-x at Goldan Sands.

so far, there are NO schedule events at GSS yet. Tom says he "needs to get off his lazy ass and schedule one" but last time he posted on CWSCC forums about it, nobody seemed interested, so he didn't schedule one.

does anyone on here have a weekend in mind? i'm thinking mid september, so it is a little cooler out. any other ideas? also, it takes about a month or so to setup an event like this and have a good turnout. so mid Sept gives enough time for that as well.
