I have to swap out the connector from the fuse box to the computer, terminals were rotten on the harness I got from the junk yard so had to splice the wires. Upon not paying attention, there are two identical RED with BLACK STRIPE wires going into the connector from the fuse box? How can I tell which is which, or are they ok to mix up?

ecuwiringinformation [ECMTuning - wiki]

this may help in someway I don't know if the 2g n/t and turbos would be a lot different but this is the ecu wiring diagram off of ecmtuning. You may still have to do some tracing down but it might get your in the right area atleast.

nah theres some wires coming from the fusebox to a black plug that hangs under the computers in the engine bay.

his car is a 2GNT 420a... not 4G63

maybe this helps better...

follow the wires... see where they end... let us know...

You just replied at the same time as me, see the post above.

Also, I guessed on the wires. The car started for a second, then died. Now it wont start up again, it turns over though. Fuel pump also came on the first time I turned the key, and now it does not.

Pictures of connector/wires. :banghead:

Fuel pump relay is not getting power after turning the ignotion key. Pump does turn on when I jump the relay. Relay is good. Any thoughts?

So, appearently my ASD relay isn't turning on my fuel relay. ASD has power, according to the diagrams I'm looking for a connection lost on J/C 3 (A-82) or some kinda plug in the engine bay. Any ideas? Is it the same on a 1997 as a 1995? I'm looking at a 1997 service manual.

I am getting turn key codes 12, 42, 42, 55.

12 - battery reset within 50 key cycles
42 - fuel pump relay or MFI (ASD) relay control circuit indicates an open or shorted circuit
55 - end codes
