window tint ticket... help! PA

Like everyone has said, 35% is a pretty safe area. When you get something blatantly dark like 5% it just attracts attention from everyone not only cops. Otherwise, roll your windows down when you drive past the police station or anytime you are driving I guess. I don't know the laws for there, but here you can tint the rear windows as dark as you want and only tint the front windows 50%, so with the windows down they wouldn't be able to see what the fronts are/ it wont draw attention.

You might want to think about fixing the things you keep getting fined on. I can see if you got fined for something once or maybe even twice, but now that the cops know you are an easy way to fill their quota you will continue to be cited.

Here's one for you guys. I have two cars I drive about equally. I've gotten pulled over about four times so far in 2008 alone for the tint on my 2004 hyundai tiburon. Have not gotten pulled over for it once on my 2003 dodge ram 2500. I got the tint put on mainly because if the sun reflects into my eyes from the side windows, I sneeze uncontrollably. Sunglasses help for the front but not for the sides. I tell the police officers this that pull me over and they laugh at me and sent me to their doctor to get it checked out. Their doctor told me it wasn't a legit reason for having my windows tinted. Should I go to my doctor and get a second opinion or just rip the tint off? I just want the police to stop harrassing me. I also got the tint because I was almost carjacked a couple times. I have to drive through some bad areas and I'm a small blonde girl and people see me as an easy target. I haven't had any problems since my windows have been tinted...is there a way I could use this to help?

You need to use your women features better. My gf and her friends usualy just cry and what not and they get out of like speeding and crazy stuff hell they could probably get out of a tint ticket if the windows had 0% j/k

I pulled over on 95 to pick up a friend who got into an accident. The state trooper gave me a warning card saying if I did not comply in 2 weeks (get my tint removed on my front driver/passenger windows) I would be issued a $118 ticket. I do not feel this is fair because he didnt even pull me over and when I questioned him about it he said "Im pulling you over right now". Is this legal?? Also isnt tint a secondary offense?? Please help if you have any input on this...thanks a lot!!

No I think they can pull you over for the tint. That is kinda bs with the not even pulling you over but it was only a warning but what do you have to do to prove you took it off did they say? SOunds like BS to me. WHen they do that it's usualy for credentials like you hae to go to the station and show a insurance or registration card or something. What are you gonna take a picture of yoru car without tint and show them.

Im thinking about just ignoring the warning and if they issue me a ticket..just taking it to court. If I win great if not then ill just pay the fine. My tint was a birthday present so Im not getting it removed...Ill just have to roll my front windows down when Im around cops. Hopefully this jackass wont show up to traffic court. He didnt use that tint meter anyway not that im even sure if that matters. Ill tell the judge that I was never pulled over and therefore not properly cited. Plus I found out that I can obtain his notes from the incident so Im gonna try and do that. If they dont turn them over to me then the ticket automatically gets thrown out. Why do these cops bother to waste their time and mine? Damn coppers

Where you in NJ when you got pulled over because as weird as this sounds I have never been pulled over or that matter seen a PA state trooper. If thats' the case #### EM! I liev in NJ and when I went to certain gatherings we'll call them at night in philly when I was young and dumb I got a ticket and I just ignored it and haven't heard about it since and I have been pulled over in NJ since just not in PA
