I wanted to upgrade my intercooler piping and swap out my intake for a GM Maf and translator the 3 inch version and throw a K&N on , however right now im still on t25 and stock intercooler , I already know ill be going to an EVO turbo and a Supra Sidemount. I just want to know if ill run into any problems with fitting the Turbo or the sidemount on if i get pipes and intake that fit my current stock setting? I dont want to have to buy differant pipes and intake again when I get em.

Depends on what way you are running the MAFT on if you have to buy or replace the uicp when you decide to utilize it.

Do you mean it depends on if I want to vent or not? doesnt matter to me, if i can upgrade piping and intake now that will also fit the Supra Sidemount so that I can (with alittle modding ofcourse) install it while reusing the new pipes, i would be alot happier than having to rebuy everything just to vent.

The UICP is same whether you are using the stock SMIC or a supra SMIC. So if you get one now you won't have to modify it for the supra IC.

No, I mean if you are going before or after the BOV with the MAFT. If you are going to get it and use it later go with a dejon setup and go ahead and buy the MAFT itself. Close off the place were you plug in the translator and run it that way for awhile. Once you upgrade the turbo or whatever you want to eventually get to run it, just buy the translator and plug it in.

If it was me, I would have go ahead and buy the ICP and maft/translator. Put it all in and set it to "0", then you can save up for a turbo and intake pipe. The intake pipe is not needed right away. I am still running the stock accordian with my setup and it is fine. Focus on the UPPER and LOWER piping so you can get more airflow as opposed to that stock rubber crrap they have stuck you with.

You will modify the Supra SM not the piping so get what works and you will be ok. Besides that read this about the setup of the MAFT. Guy on the thread has experimented with both setups.

Ohhhh alright got ya now, Ive been reading alittle about the GM Maf's now for a while but never really thought much about it, but i just started working for a Chevy Dealership and I see these every day and I got to wondering if it would be worth it now since i can probobly get one for free or under 20 bucks. So your saying install the UICP with the GM MAF just dont hook it up so the car doesnt see it and keep using my stock 2g MAS for now. Thats a good idea never even thought of that. thanks man.

If you hook it all up and keep it all zeroed out you will be fine.:thumb:

No problem, that is why we have sections like this. People always thinking different stuff can help out alot.:thumb:

one more thing while your on a roll :D Lets say I get the 3inch GM MAF from work then I buy the new pipes they have on Dejontools.com the 2 1/2 Blow Thru uicp. That sounds exactly like what I would need, but it says to get it neckdowned at the intercooler to 2 1/4 for stock and 2 1/2 for big sidemounts, so im guessing the supra probobly has the 2 1/2 inch outlets. what would you do? im gonna probobly stick with stock sidemount for about a month or so,, so keep that in mind, thanks in advance.

You can always buy what you want and use reducer style couplers.:thumb:

They sell ones that go from 2.5 on one side to 2.25 on the other. Cheaper to buy new couplers than pipes. There you go all problems solved.;)

i've actually emailed Dave at dejontool about this. you can get just the segment you need from them if you decide to upgrade.
i have the neck-down to 2.25 but will get the segment changed to straight 2.5 if i decide to change to a setup that requires it.
also, you could change the middle BOV flange section only if you decide to use a different BOV.

of course i didn't inquire about price for each piece...

but yeah, couplers are probably much cheaper :shhh:
