wierd studder at 4.5k???

ok well my problem is i redid the head gasket on my car and put it all back together and when i start to hit boost it does this wierd ass studder thing i thought it was fuel cut but its not i checked my plugs there gapped right and when it does the studder its at about 4.5k and it just studders and sounds like a 2 step what do u guys think

The first thing I would do it double check your timing mars and make sure they are dead on. Also I woud check the elec. connector on your wastegate. A looose wire ther could be the problem. good luck

i also forgot i am running external wastegate off of the o2 housing at its recirculated

Are you also running an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator with that pump? Assuming you are and fuel pressure is set correctly, check the electrical connectors for the ignition coil and the transistor pack as many of those break and then vibrate loose. Keep us updated.

This started happening to me after I installed the AFC on my GST. I know it was installed 100% correctly as I did it myself...no recent engine work, no other mods that day. Just the AFC. I'd get a weird backfire/stutter/bog when I hit boost.

Never figured it out actually...just parked the car. I'm interested to see where this goes.
