wierd clanking noise coming from... suspension??

Ok for the longest time I was driving with 100% dead rear shocks. When I would drive over bumps or potholes I would hear clanking noise coming from the rear, I also thought it was the shocks but I replaced them with semi-new ones and I still have the sound even though the ride is wayyy better. Any ideas what could be causing this noise? Could it be axle related?

Honestly, I haven't really been under the DSMs that much, I just bought mine 3 days ago... But I would look at sway bar links. While you are down there get the light out and look for marks on the suspension parts from when the bumping occurs.

I would check and see if your struts bars are bent or your coils. Also see if your control arms need to be tightend. Check and see if your routers are touching too because that just happened to one of my buddys, his router was almost sideways so check your brakes as weel. If nothing else works I would just replace them before a major problem occurs. Good luck!

I would jack the car up check axles all of your bushings everything. Make sure bolts are tight and nothing looks out of the ordinary or leaks.

I have the same problem with my car. But its in the front and it sounds like the passenger side. Every time i hit a bump it clanks. Could it be a bad strut? They're stock struts and they've been lowered on eibach pro kit springs for about 60,000 miles now. Any ideas?

My car makes a nasty clank-pop noise when i make sharp turns. It's more of a pop, but it doesn't seem to be effecting anything thus far. Any idea what this might be?

Is it coming from the front or rear? It could be tire rub.

My car was making the same noise but in the front. I replaced the struts and haven't heard a thing since.
