edmonton,
well guys, this is probably the wrong section to post, but this is where it will get the most attention. my plymouth laser 1.8L has been parked for like 2 or 3 months, and i go and start it up yesterday, and smoke was coming from behind my heatshield on my exhaust manifold. before i parked it the car was running beautifully. i dont think its a leak beacuse the smoke doesnt smell like exhaust fumes, but i could be wrong. could somehting have possibly crawled in behind my exhaust manifold and the heat is making it smoke? what could it be, i need to sell this car asap, but with it smoking like this, whose gona buy it! the car is a 1990 laser 1.8 L automatic, with only 130 KM on it. thanks alot guys, heeelp

It could also be an exhaust leak from a cracked exhaust manifold or some oil residue burning off. Take off the heat shield and have a look.

If its an exhaust leak you would probably hear it.

Why dont you take the 3 bolts off your heat shield and take a look for yourself?

No one wants a N/T auto anyways so you dont have anything to worry about! :shhh:
