why does my car try and stall when i stop???

like the title says, when i come to a stop at a red light, the rpms will surge, then it will almost stall on me, or if i let go of the gas real quick in first (a/t) it will almost stall, rpms drop to like 100, but it will catch itself. does anyone know what could cause this problem, as it is very annoying and embarresing

i dont know much about engines but I think your throttle body has to be adjusted. Your idle seems to be too low.. or you may have dirty injectors, fuel lines ect.

sounds as if there isnt an adequate amount of fuel being thrown in..

well, i just ran a bottle of seafoam thru the gas tank about 2 weeks ago, so that should have cleaned the injectors out, but even if it was the injectors, would that cause the idle to surge like that? and i just turned my idle up a notch as well, didnt do anything

I'm sure he's not venting because he's NT. It actually sounds like a possible Torque converter problem to me.

Check your base idle set screw and make sure it is set to the proper idle position. I had the same problem on my Tsi a few weeks ago.

Run an entire sea foam thru your vacuum line going to the intake manifold. It fixed the same problem on my car... Search sea foam and you'll find a big article about it.

sorry, havent been on in a few days, but when i put on my new tb, i put a new isc motor, and tps, so i doubt its either of them, and i ran a can of seafoam thru the intake manifold, didnt help either, and i dont think 2g's have a biss screw, new spark plugs r in there too...would it have anything to do with the charcoal canister by any chance?
