Why do 2G automatics get smaller injectors?

After reading through the VFAQ's, I discovered that 2G manual transmission cars have 450cc injectors while 2G automatics only have 390cc injectors. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this? Just curious.

That only applies to 1gs. All 2g turbo cars come with 450cc injectors, transmission type does not matter.

Is this a mistake in the VFAQ's then, since the table I found in the VFAQ's specified 2G 2.0L turbos? (The table I am referring to is actually in the "1000 Already Answered Questions FAQ".)

Thanks for all the responses guys. The information given by blackGSX2g makes sense, since the 1g autos had smaller turbos compared to the 1g manuals. The 2g autos and manuals both have the same T2slow turbo and hence probably have similar fuel requirements.
