Ok, I was searching on the DSMchip so i can use a stutterbox. But I see alot of stress placed on making sure I used a good electronics guy to use to socket the ECU. Problem is, everyone would say they could do this, if they knew they had never done one before. So does anyone know who to use to do this? I could send out the ecu ect. Just not sure I wanna chance some plonker screwin things up:barf:

Jeff at dsmchips can recommend some people to send it to. Most electronic repair shops should be able to do this for you though. I didn't feel comfortable with the shops I asked about it so I ended up doing my own though. As long as you have the right tools, it's not too bad of a job.

so any 1g ecu can be socketed right?

Ya i would not do it myself. I am just worried i will take it somewhere and it will get screwed up

and what chip dp u have ? u l;ike it?

Only an eprom ecu should be socketed. I have the stage 3 chip and it works flawlessly. My car runs great with 680cc injectors and 2g mas with the chip as the only correction. The stutterbox has made launching my awd a piece of cake as well. It used to be a fine balance of trying not to bog, but also trying not to slip the clutch so much that I'm losing speed and unnecessarily burning clutch. Now, with some boost built up, I can't get the engine to bog on a launch. It's a very worthwhile mod.

Ya, that is what I am looking to do. But witht he DSMchip. What is your stutter set at? Do you use the the "no lift" feature for shifting?
