Rickshaw,
Hey guys,

Purchased a brand new stage 3 shep trans couple months ago. did the proper break-in required. Replaced with brand new mt-90. T-case replaced with brand new mt-90 at the sametime.

this symptom just started couple days ago. major whining sound when i'm on decel in 4th. the sound comes from right in the center of the vehicle. the sound is not as apparent in other gears. I do feel vibration in the pedals when cruising around the 2500rpm area.

What i notice as well, is the shifter assembly moves quite a bit when i am in first gear, and only first. It seems like it wants to pop out, but it doesn't.

Any info on what i should look out for would be great.

popped the fill drain, and some fluid dripped out, look at attached pic. this tranny is a brand new option stage3 by shep. i have no where near the capable hp this tranny can hold. i feel so sad right now as this is my daily driver, and now it has to go into hibernation.

thats the colour of the fluid, when some of it dripped out of the fill plug.
i do not have a short shifter, stock 2g awd shifter. everything was working great until this weekend, some bad ass noise. but i've talked to some other poeple, and it is most likely a bearing failure.

i do not know what went wrong. boo hoo

same thing on my trany new awd stage 3 only 1200km on it
waiting for shep to call me back at the same time will upgrade to stage 4 welld center diff

i talked to shep on the phone, sent it back to him, he fixed it without questioning me. Supposedly it was a bad bearing plate. Anyways thumbs up to Shep. Recieved my transmission back today!

looks like i'm going to be ready for the coming season with a bigger setup. gt35 here i come!
