I put a new MBC on my car today after my old one took a sh!t and i got it set at 20psi where i wanted it but now im having a whine when i build boost. Its not very loud at all and i can hear it JUST above my turbo spooling but im curious as to why it just started??

my 16g has like maybe 3K miles on it. It was overboosted MAYBE three times when i was finding out my old MBC was shot... but it has never made this sound.. wasnt doing it earlier today, i put the new mbc on it.. it doesnt do it for maybe a mile or two and then i was at a stop light and it just started after i pulled away from that stop light.

I think it may be a vacuum leak but im not completely sure. im really hoping my turbo isnt shot. :notgood:

Check the turbo for shaft play, check the compressor wheel for evidence of scraping the compressor housing inlet.

I have a 16g and it is very quite at 7-8psi, where I run at because of no fuel. The 16gs don't start to sing until > 12psi. A boost leak made my t25 whine once. It is the whole acting like a whistle.
