Which Shift Cable is Adjustable?

Swear to god i've searched but..

Which cable is supposed to be adjustable on 91-94 shifter cables - closest or furthest from shift handle?

(on '90 shifter cables both are adjustable)

i have a 91 eclipse and both of my cables are adjustable... im haveing a prob with my cables tho.. help!!!!
