Okay so ive been searching around and all i could find is people using wide 18" rims but Ive been looking at the Drag rims that are 17"x 9" I know they can fit with slight body modifications to the fenders but what im trying to figure out is what offset i need in the front so the inner part of the rim and tire doesnt rub the control arm as well as hit anything when turning.
Im planning on running 17x9 wheels and 255/45/17 tires. Any help would be awesome as Im not familiar with sizing offset on this car.

I run a +29 offset with my 17x9. Clears Brembos and the suspension well. I have some rubbing when the car in the rear with 235 Advan AD08s if there's not enough camber in the rear, even with rolled fenders, at least on the track. On the street it's fine.

+35 is the highest offset you'd want to run. Anything higher than that and you'd have the tires rubbing on suspension parts.

And thats with 255/45 tires? I know the 255 are pretty wide so I want to get a big enough offset so I wont need spacers or at least the smallest spacers needed so the tires dont rub.

Are you talking about 235 tires stretched? where are they rubbing at?

255 would rub in the rear definitely on the fenders, and not fit at all in the rear on hard cornering unless you're running really stiff springs and raising the car higher up to around stock levels plus a la Autocross setup.

The fenders in the rear will be rolled and flared and as well in the front fenders. But the coils are really stiff. All i really need to figure out is how much of a spacer and max offset ill need to go with to get the 255s on. The biggest offset i can find is of 38 on the 17x9 rims is that a good size or should it be a little smaller?

By smaller offset you mean a smaller number (i.e. +29 being smaller than +35)? If so, yes, that will create more distance between the tire and knuckle. But then keep in mind you'll have to address the clearance to the fender by rolling/pulling and also probably raising ride height back around stock height as mentioned above.

Got It! so im not worried about the body/fender side because that can always be modified to fit. but its the inner knuckle part that I want to make sure I clear with the tire and use as small of a spacer as possible. Im currently stock ride height anyways.
