hello,
I already serched for this with no results, i think one reason is your serach cant be one letter. Which j pipe for a 16g with the short route intercooler is the best? My stock t25 is blown and while i'm finishing my build i thought i would put a 16g that my buddy gave me. I have looked at different ones on ebay and different sites. Just about all of them look different, it's obvious that they are bent different and some of them are longer. So which one is the best? I think most of you know how the pipe set up is for the short route on a 2 g? You have the 90* elbow coming out of the turbo to the intercooler pipe that runs parallel with the radiator.
a ebay j pipe-
eBay Motors: DSM 1G 2G 16G 14B Turbo J Pipe Eclipse Talon 90-99 (item 330213113761 end time Feb-25-08 09:07:39 PST)

another ebay one "SBR" clone-
eBay Motors: DSM 16G 14B Turbo J Pipe Eclipse Talon 90-99 (item 270214837725 end time Mar-02-08 18:05:09 PST)

Another ebay one
eBay Motors: Turbo Aluminum J Pipe for Eclipse Talon Laser 1G (item 200201802375 end time Feb-27-08 17:12:30 PST)

I got mine from Dejon and I have no complaints. Any of those ebay ones like fine also. It is not a complicated part and as long as the flange is flat, it should work well.

none of those look like they have a nipple on them, and your going to want a nipple on it to correctly connect a boost controller (mine didnt come with one either and i had to drill a hole and put one in), but other then that they pretty much look the same, that 3rd one shows that it comes with a gasket so you might want that one

How did the nipple look like when you where done it? How did you do this jb weld and drill a hole?

I'm using the ETS J-pipe with my SSAC (e-bay intercooler) I really like the fact that it runs all the way over to my oil filter without any couplers there to blow off.

I added a nipple to it for a boost source by drilling and tapping the pipe and then using JB Weld on the threads when I installed it.

Well i ask cause i had to take the 50 trim of and put the 14b back on and the only jpipe i have that will come close to my front mount has no nipple for the boost source.

All my drill bits are broke, my drill is about to kick the bucket, dont have a tap and die and no money... :(

You need to find a local DSMer to help you out. If you were anywhere near me I would do it for you.

i ended up getting the "slowboy clone" i got on dejon website and it looked the closest to thers. so i think it will work with my setup-lets hope anyway!

The Dejon Tool J pipe is what your after if your running your typical drivers side inlet short route FMIC. Think its the same price as those Ebay link you posted & its from a legit DSM vendor so you know it will have proper fitment & be off good quality (which isn't always the case with Ebay vendors). Thats what I ran with my evoIII/ short route FMIC setup & it worked/fit great. I added the boost source as well with a drill/tap, 1/8th NPT barbed fitting & some silver solder to make sure it sealed 100% & was never going to leak.

How well does that work with your kit? It looks nice! Much better then my solution. (Dejon J-Pipe and 90* coupler)

It works well, The pipe ends a bit higher than the inlet of my intercooler so I have the 90deg bend that came with my intercooler cut significantly shorter and angeling up towards the J-pipe. I didn't take any pics of the install but I will try to get some in the next few days.
