Which is the most reliable Palm for mmcd?

I know there area million threads about datalogging, Most seem to be about cables, and problems that people have with set up.
Which model Palm is the most reliable for MMC. I know there is a list of compatible models, but I've read about a lot of people having issues with a lot of those models.
So, which model would be the best for mmcd?
