I have a 1996 Eclipse GSand was wondering what short ram air intake i should get? Preferably between AEM, Injen, or Ractive and why.... I want a little bit of a performance upgrade and little bit of a nicer sound to my engine.

It really doesn't matter it is just a short ram intake they are all the same. And you might want to consider a cold air intake for better performance. The short ram is just going to intake hot air.

I also agree with what 1gDSM4g63 says, go with a cold air
intake. I personally have AEM but its ultimately your manufacturer preference.

Go with a cold air intake and make sure to get an air bypass valve. So you dont suck up water when you hit a puddle. Now as far as what brand to get, just go check out ebay and you'll be fine with a $30 intake. Its not worth paying $200+ on an intake when the $30 intake is going to give you the same gains. Thats all you paying that extra money for is the name brand, trust me its not worth. A cheap intake will perform just as good as the $200 intake.

a pipes a pipe just slap on a better filter and your all set to you :thumb: im sure many would agree :)

x2. Don't waste your money. Take that advice wisely from those who have in the past :thumb:

The best intake would be a AEM V2. Which is about 200-300$.
The next best would be a eBay CAI. Which is about 20-50$.
The AEM would give you about .5 more HP and .1 more TQ and alil better sounding.

If you want more performance with sound go with the eBay CAI and tehn get a catback and headers of eBay too with teh money left over :D
