Which FMIC is this?

I did a some searching and it looks like the ETS ultra short race core but I saw a picture of an SBR ultra kit race core and it looked the same as the ETS except for the mounting brackets. But when I went to SBR's site the only FMIC they sold that looked like mine was the ETS ultra short race core.
Sorry for the bad pic

Its not an ETS intercooler. Ours uses different mounting tabs and the core is different. My guess would be an old slow boy intercooler as well.

Thanks everyone. I haven't gotten the chance to look into it much but would the VRSF kit be considering am upgrade?

Sorry to bump my own thread but I can't find anything concrete information on the quality of this core. I've seen some decent reviews and quite a few horrible ones as well.

I already have a VRSF kit that I purchased a few months ago during the sale. It's already paid for so it wouldn't cost me anything to just swap it out with that and then just sell the SBR kit. But if it isn't really an upgrade I'd rather just sell the VRSF because I could probably get back more of my money since it is brand new and still in the box.

Go with the VRSF, since it is proven. I have no experience personally with the Slowboy. But id rather stick with the proven FMIC then one that is "unknown" or has more bad reviews than good.

Fair enough, thanks for the help. If anybody wants an old SBR kit let me know LOL.

I don't know that I would say the VRSF is better.... The SBR kit is just a re-labled Kinetic kit, and it is my understanding that kinetic uses Garrett cores for their intercoolers. While the vrsf kit is proven to work very well....I think I would still rather have something with a garrett core if the sizes are equal/comparable.

The core itself is quite a bit bigger than the VRSF core. I'm guessing that the dimensions of the core don't really dictate whether or not one core is better than another, but is there any way to know for sure which is better aside from logging temps with each?

A few of the guys from SBR still post. Maybe one of them can answer your questions.
