Which Bovs fit 1g flange

Basically what the title says I really don't want to get a different flange welded on so i was trying to see which ones fit the 1g bov flange already?

No i just want a different BOV doesn't really have anything to do with the sound....But I don't want to modify my flange at all. So I was trying to see which ones are out there that would bolt right on.

You'll have to drill holes in the 1g flange for a Greddy to fit, which means that if you want to revert to a 1g BOV, the holes will have to be filled. There's a How-To somewhere that I just saw last week or so. Now I can't find it. I'll post the link when I do, though.

yeah, its really not difficult at all to bolt a type s or rs to a 1G flange, but if you insist on a DIRECT bolt on the the forge is the only one I can think of. However you going to spend about 50 bucks more for this BOV but theyre badass.

Yes forge BOV for the 1g flange. I was going to get it when I got my new short route piping with that flange, but I just couldnt wait so I modified my flange to fit greddy BOVs. The mod is irreversible I hear.

Anyways just do a search on "forge" on here and you will see the positive comments on it. Really seems to be a great bov alternative for 1g flanges who don't want to run the 1g bov because how it looks/sounds/and being crushed just isnt enough.

How much boost is the forge bov rated for?

We ship the valves with a spring rated between 15-25 and include springs for 23-30 and 30+.

The available springs are:
Green 5-15 (not included with this valve)
Yellow 15-25 (the valve is built with this spring)
Blue 23-30
Red 30+

Hope this helps.

As for what bov are a direct bolt on, the forge unit is. I ran one but couldn't get it to release in one straight burst over ~10psi (would release in 3 bursts). I can say even with the yellow spring (second lightest) it held 20 psi no problem during a boost leak test, something my 1g defently didn't do. The guys at Forge are great to deal with and their products carry a lifetime warranty. There are lots of guys running this with zero issues, just doesn't seem to like my setup. If you do end up having any issues they will gladely refund your money.

If you want to bolt up a different bov, they make a flange (dejontool) to bolt the Greddy bov's to the 1g flange, if you don't want to drill the extra holes in your stock flange. They also carry a flange to bolt the HKS SSQV to a 1g flange. I believe they make adapters for TurboXS bov's as well (haven't looked at these)

if you do want to drill holes get the greddy type-s i love this bov it sounds nice and i wouldnt trade it for any other bov in the world its kinda loud you can hear it at least 2 blocks away from what frineds have told me every time i change gears i see some one jerk there head to look over at my car its kinda cool LOL but then i have hurd great things about forge and there products look realy nice

wow, thank you for explaining how the BOV is loud. I'm sure that's the selling point nyteshade151 is looking for.

I believe there is a write up on VFAQ explaining how to bolt up Greddy BOVs to the stock 1g flange :thumb:

You can make a HKS SSQV fit a 1G flange if you get the kit from www.dejonpowerhouse.com

And you can buy a kit for the Greddy BOV, if you don't want to drill through it.

I swear dejon stays up at night just thinking of things to invent. ROFL

Now that I think about it though.... if I had a machine shop, I'd probably do the same thing. :D

That's a pretty sweet looking adapter. The only thing I wonder about is how high it puts the BOV in regards to hitting the hood.
