well 60K is just around the corner, and i have to start getting things, well, just 1 more thing, a waterpump... just wondering where i should get one from. I know mach v sells them for like $130, but i havent seen them anywheres else. I was looking for a high-flow water pump, just because i dont know if oem is gonna cut it down the road. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. :dsm:

i havent seen any high flow pumps, but did you just check around at the local parts store?
I once bought a "new, not remanufactured" water pump for my talon at napa.

That's a complete water pump, it refers to being a part replaced when an engine's rebuilt.

Since DSM water pumps are replaced when belts are, at around 60K, they have a pretty light service life. I don't know of any such thing as a DSM "hight output" water pump.

As mentioned, only insist that it has a metal impeller. Look at it before you walk out of the store.

JNZ tuning = former cornicelli mitu

best guys around on OEM parts, + it usually only takes 2 days shipping since they are prompt on getting it out via DHL

i like the gmb water pump, made in japan, it looks oem. excellent quality. i compared it to the genuine one, and all the markings look identical. i bought 3 of them 2 years ago for 38/each. probably higher now, but still a far cry from 130. even a blind squirrel can find a nut now and then.

Go with genuine mitsu part, do not get cheap generic brands from autozone. Most of the time those water pumps have platic blades and are prone to failure much sooner than a mitsu OEM one.

I'm at work right now (NAPA) and looked up a waterpump for ya. I can get an OE one for 30 my cost. If you want it I can order it for ya and I'll just charged ya for frieght to get it here and shipping. So probobly 50 all together for a brand new one.

I have a GMB too, cost like $50 or so. I remember reading about a lot of people having water pump leaks/problems at t-belt change time, so I figured I'd go with this one instead of OEM (most importantly, it was also a lot cheaper)

There are two types of OEM water pump, the one that the dealship uses the most has plastic blades.... not good.
