Anyone know where I can get some replacement honeycombs for my 2g mas. My car runs like shit and has no honeycombs in the Mas.

I tried it about 5 years ago on my Stealth TT - and I found out like you will - the dealership sell stock MAF's but you'd be 1000X better off picking up a MAFT.
The dealership doesn't sell honeycombs (or at least none I ever found) because they aren't supposed to be taken out - they were mildly glued in on mine.
I found a 2nd gen MAF for my 1st gen for like $50 which is cheaper yet.
But I would suggest paying for the MAFT if you can.

Shadowfax said:err... I'm saying if you buy a MAFT ($200) and a GM maf ($50-100) then you will no longer have your 2nd gen maf on your car, and hence, will run MUCH better![]()
Plus the MAFT does fuel control - I've got a friend in a 2nd gen that tuned some 680's on his 98 GST in about 20 minutes on EGT/Datalogger only - tuned like top of 4th hitting 1600EGT barely, and 26mpg...
The MAFT might not outflow the 2nd gen MAF by TONS in drawthru- but you have the option of blowthru which I would recommend.
heh - I'm rewiring mine with bullet connectors so I can run either my 1st gen connector or a 2nd gen.Cgillies86 said:My car is a 1g, but the moron (the guy i bought the car from) cut off the 1g connector and wired it to a 2g one. So does that mean I need a 2g MAFT or should i just get a 1g connector and rewire it.
