Where is my oil going?

I have a fully built 6-bolt that I drive daily I change the oil in it ever 2000 miles and recently during the last 4500 miles I have burned 1qt per thousand miles thats alot to burn and show no sighs. Nothing comeing out the exhaust even under wot no leaks checked the intercooler pipes and nothing there compression is 155 in all 4 cyl. So where is it going any ideas? This started about 5000 miles ago when one day I saw my oil pressure drop to nothing while I was doing 55 pulled over checked the sender wire it was fine. Started the car and checked to see if the lifters were getting oil they were checked the oil and I was down 2qts and only 1800 miles since my last change ever since I have to add a qt ever 1000 miles. Any ideas or things to check for would be helpful (even a guess)

your oil pressure just took a on ya? Is the turbo eating it? No oil streaks coming from the front case assy or anything? Its gotta be going somewhere. Have you looked at your plugs?

i have had problems with oil filters backing off the housing...

oil return line from the turbo leaking?

valve guides?

well your losin oil some were iv had cars that lost oil but no sign of it doin so.my guess is change valve seal again and if that dont work need to sort of kinda do a rebiuld

No sighs of oil anywere on the turbo or engine, valve cover gasket is fine. Other things I have noticed is when I go wot my oil pressure drops like 2 needle spaces on the stock gauge. I checked for leaks by the oil filter to nothing. If I take a piece of paper and hold it by the muffler and have someone rev the motor I get a mist of what looks like oil but it could be fuel cant tell. My car is white and on the bumper above the exhaust there is always this mist of black sout same as what come out the exhaust. But if it was oil it would burn and smoke. Spark plugs are fine valve guides is what I thought but still unsure. Any thoughts of the oil pressure drop under boost

New motor time.

2000 miles on an oil change? Why? Good lord, factory spec for oil changes on the turbos, with the oil that was available fifteen years ago was 5000 miles.

I thought I read somewhere that these motors typically used a quart every 1000 miles? Every single one of mine do.

Defiant, I think it was you that had dug up that fact. Do you know where?

Defiant I dont think I need a new motor just to fix what ever is makeing me lose oil. I did talk to a guy last year that said his car burned a qt ever thousand to. He never saw any sighs and he keep putting oil in and never had a problem. The other thing that is buging me is that the oil pressure drops under boost. I think the 16g is going bad it dosent hit 22psi till 5200rpms it holds at 13 till around 4300 and then climbs. IS it posssiable for oil to come out the seals so slow that it woulnt burn (smoke) out the exhaust.

BY the way I dont have a boost leak cause I know that the first thing you thought of.

sweeeeeet people are having the same problem as me. I use up a shit load of oil period. I havent figured out how much it uses over a course of miles i just randomly check it every week or so and everytime i check it i'm like a qt low or so. I have no idea where the oil is going, i thought my turbo was goin out but i checked for play and it has barely any at all. On the bottom of the engine there is a thin film of oil all over the oil pan and around the oil filter and all that stuff, i assumed it was normal but maybe i need a new oil pan gasket. I doubt thats where all the oil is going though i always check under my car when i park and nothing leaks out so i have no clue.
